Q. What kind of stain do you use?
I recommend using Sherwin Williams Super Deck Stain. It is a higher end stain that will last longer than stain purchased at Lowe’s or Home Depot. You can choose latex or oil based stain, transparent, semi-transparent or solid. There are a wide variety of colors to choose from to compliment your property.
Q. How long does the patio need to dry after staining before we can use it?
You will want the stain to set for at least 24-36 hours before waking on it. Heavier foot traffic should be 2-3 days after staining.
Q. What are the benefits to installing gutter guards?
There are several advantages to installing gutter guards. #1) Prevents clogging which can lead to water damage. #2) Reduces Maintenance #3) Improves Water Flow
Q. How often should my gutters be cleaned and inspected?
We recommend at least twice a year. Once in the spring and once in the fall after leaves have fell.
Q. Why is it important to stain my deck or fence?
Staining provides protection which extends the life of a deck or patio by preventing moisture from entering the wood.
Q. How many years until I need to stain my fence/deck again?
Most decks and fences are stained every 3-5 years.
Q. Do you remove my patio furniture prior to the job starting or is that something I need to do?
We ask the home owner remove patio furniture and other items before starting a new project, but we are happy to assist with heavy items if needed.
